The tournament is slated to begin from August 27 to September 11 in the United Arab Emirates
DEHLI: On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced its roster for the forthcoming T20 Asia Cup competition, including former Indian captain Virat Kohli.
The United Arab Emirates will host the event from August 27 to September 11. (UAE).
BCCI confirmed Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel’s absence from the T20 Asia Cup squad owing to injuries.
In the meantime, Kohli returned to the side for the Asian competition.
KL Rahul, who bats first, has also been called up and appointed vice-captain.
On August 28 in Dubai, India will play Pakistan in their first T20 Asia Cup game.
Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, R Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, R Jadeja, R Ashwin, Y Chahal, R Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Avesh Khan make up the Indian team’s lineup. Rohit Sharma serves as captain.
