Zaman Anwar, Inam Butt, and Inayatullah, Pakistan’s top wrestlers won medals and made their compatriots happy.

With wrestlers winning the three medals, Pakistan’s medal total at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham has risen to five.

The three best wrestlers in Pakistan, Zaman Anwar, Inam Butt, and Inayatullah, brought honor to their nation on Friday.

Inayatullah defeated Ross Connelly of Scotland to win the bronze medal in the Men’s Free Style 65 kg wrestling competition. After three minutes and 59 seconds, he claimed victory via technical superiority.

The popular wrestler Inam Butt earned a silver medal after finishing second to Punia of India in the Men’s final.

In the Men’s Freestyle 125 kg final, Pakistani wrestler Zaman Anwar won a silver medal for his country. After a fierce bout, he was defeated by Amarveer Dhesi of Canada by a score of 2-9.

Nooh Dastagir Butt, a weightlifter from Pakistan, earned the gold medal earlier this week with a record-breaking lift of 405 kg for the Commonwealth. The people of his nation, especially Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, were quite complimentary of Butt.

Opening Commonwealth Games medal
Judoka Shah Hussain Shah won Pakistan’s first medal this week, taking home the Bronze. In his first ever 90 kg event after always competing in the 100 kg bracket, he outperformed his South African opponent.
