Erling Haaland made it back-to-back hat-tricks in Manchester City’s win by 6-0 against Nottingham Forest. He continued his sensational start to life in the Premier League. Haaland scored an exciting hat-trick last weekend as City rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Crystal Palace 4-2. However, he ensured that this match would be much simpler by scoring a flawless hat-trick with his left foot, right foot, and head within of 38 minutes.

The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in his first five Premier League games. He broke the previous mark of eight set by both Micky Quinn and Sergio Aguero, City’s all-time greatest scorer. Before Argentina forward Julian Alvarez made his full City debut with a second-half hat trick to finish the thrashing. Joao Cancelo scored a stunning fourth goal in the 50th minute.

As it happened in Manchester City’s Win against Nottingham Forest

Haaland’s first goal against Palace was assisted by Phil Foden. And the pair teamed up once more in the 12th minute to make it difficult for Forest to recover. After getting past the opponent’s captain Joe Worrall, England forward floated a tempting ball from the left that Haaland prodded home. Five minutes later, Brennan Johnson misjudged a clearing straight to Bernado Silva, and five minutes later, Foden set up Haaland for a tap-in, giving Forest its best chance of the game. The game appeared to be over at this point in the first half.

When Cancelo’s outside-of-the-boot cross found Foden. The Etihad Stadium stood to cheer the new hero’s third goal to complete his hat trick. John Stones received it and headed it into the goalmouth, where he nodded for the hungry Haaland to finish the job. Cancelo most likely scored the game’s winning goal as Nottingham Forest allowed him way too much room and time to finish Silva’s feed in the top corner.

Alvarez made an impression playing off Haaland throughout the entire evening. And at the conclusion of a usually protracted period of City possession, he was ready to pounce with a crisp finish across Henderson.

Alvarez scored his second goal into the roof of the net three minutes from time after substitutes Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne stung Forest on the counterattack. This seemed to indicate that more than one player is trying to imitate Aguero’s achievements in sky blue right now.

Records are not important to Haaland in Manchester City’s Win, according to Guardiola.

After the game, the discussion was on how many records Haaland may attempt to paper-mache during his time in Manchester after shattering the Premier League scoring records in August. Pep Guardiola, however, claimed in his post-game news conference that he has a different understanding of what motivates a player who just has the DFB-Pokal to show for his time at Borussia Dortmund.

“I believe he wants to take home the titles. This is how I feel. I believe that’s what he desires. And if our winning results are aided by our records and goals, then everything will be ideal. Knowing him a little bit, I don’t know if he would be satisfied to set records if we don’t win titles. We’ve been dating for a month and a half. He appears to want a say in that.

As City tries to win their fifth Premier League championship in six seasons. Guardiola also noted that Haaland’s exuberance around the training facility has been a breath of fresh air. “Erling talks to the young players in the academy all the time. I appreciate it when I see Erling conversing with the players in the academy in the canteen. He is composed, does well in the gym, leads a simple life, and has the desire to score while the game is on.

Guardiola divulges Man City’s South American secret weapon

Guardiola had the chance to recognize an unsung City staff member thanks to Alvarez’s impressive full debut. “We had incredibly divergent views on Julian. A year and a half ago, I spoke with our friend and scout in South America, Joan Patsy. “This guy is extraordinary,” he said. He is a man with a history of prolific goal-scoring for teams like River Plate. There is a tremendous amount of pressure on them to succeed. We’re enjoying him right now. Two of our attackers are of extraordinary caliber.

Cooper bemoans Forest’s pricey mistakes.

When City is in this mood, any opponent must be nearly faultless because of this attribute. Even with Forest’s mitigation that their roster had had a great deal of transition since they won the Championship playoff final. Steve Cooper’s team was still far from where they needed to be. Although Henderson’s mistake for Haaland’s second goal stood out, Bernardo Silva immediately went after Renan Lodi, and Cooper believed all three of the first-half goals his team conceded were completely avoidable.

Cooper, whose club has four points after five games, said, “We knew we were coming up against an absolutely world-class striker [Haaland] and he’s not the only world-class player in the team, clearly – they had some on the bench.” “But you still have to believe in yourself. I don’t want to detract from his goals tonight, but when I look at our men, I think we could have done a little bit better. We didn’t enter the game with the intention of losing; instead, we constantly aim to dominate. We could have played the game so much better.
